Here’s all I’ll say about the election: Washington DC is about to become Thunderdome, where Obama, The GOP and The Tea Party enter, but no one is sure who will come out come 2012.
But on the bright side, we’ll always have « Le suivre vendredi » .
This week I head over to the Southeastern United States to hang out with a blogger who’s been kicking ass and taking names as of late in the name of equality in fashion, with a couple of those names responding to the challenge.
Mesdames et messieurs, bienvenue s’il vous plaît mon premièr « Le suivre vendredi » pour novembre 2010, Vahni Georgoulakos de Grit and Glamour !
I first came upon Mme Georgoulakos on IFB… or was it Profresh Style… je ne sais pas. Anyway, what got my attention was her post about the lack of equality among the social networking sites devoted to fashion, specifically who “moved up in the ranks,” as it were. This in turn resulted in not one but two of the sites’ founders responding to her. I knew then that I had to have her here.
Oh, and she’s also a huge fan of another LSV-featured blogger of mine, Kristy Elèna of Vogue Gone Rogue, so that helps.
Anyway, Grit and Glamour is a blog that offers a lot to the reader, and is on par with IFB to whom she contributes every now and then. Not only does she offer the usual fare such as outfit posts, shoutouts to her fellow bloggers, recurring features such as Friend Friday and Sunday Coffee, and occasional social commentary, but also advice on improving your own blog and making it as an expat, something I’ll probably use if Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck overthrow the government become president and vice president in 2012…
I’ll let you decide which pairing is scarier.
Not only that, but Mme Georgoulakos has also been featured in one fashion or another on numerous fashion, blogging and expat sites, and is a contributor to IFB, In Their Closet, Ask Miss A and Examiner.com, as well as having an entry on Wikifashion.
Why should you follow Grit and Glamour? You love opinionated bloggers who challenge how the game is played, you’re an expat in need of some good advice, and you love style, shoes and food, though not necessarily in that order.
Why should you not follow Grit and Glamour? You’re Chictopia or Weardrobe, you prefer your fashion to not be so passionate, or you believe expatriates are ex-patriots and should all be deported back to Expatistan for stabbing America (or some other country) in the back.

Thanks again for the feature, Cameron!
