Another week is coming to a close, the weekend is up ahead and The Day of Rapture is just two Sundays away, with Marilyn Manson becoming God and everyone dying five months later.

This week I head up to The Big Sac to visit a blogger at her vintage clothing store to check out her wares.

I first came upon Bella through Kristy Eléna. I’m not entirely clear on the circumstances, but I believe it was during the Fulltime Fabulous contest where Bella’s blog may have been mentioned in a post. Either way, I kept my eye on Bella and decided to pull the trigger this week.
Bella is not only a blogger but also runs a vintage clothing store/collective called Citizens of Rosebud in her hometown of Sacramento, a project that serves as an extension of her personal style and her ethos of sustainability and responsibility to the world around her.
Bella’s blog focuses on her personal style–a mix of the aforementioned vintage and thrifted pieces with her signature use of floral prints; thus her blog’s and store’s namesake–so plenty of outfit posts are to be had here, as well as the occasional outfit post and interview featuring a local blogger. The blog also has coverage of local events such as Sacramento Fashion Week, guest posts and more. Finally, The Citizen Rosebud, which has been featured in the local press as well as online, also has a list of fashion bloggers who prove that style doesn’t end at 40.

Why should you add The Citizen Rosebud to your reading list? You adore vintage style, you love media with a more hyperlocal focus, and you know that style doesn’t end at 40; how old is Anna Wintour again?
Why should you not add The Citizen Rosebud to your reading list? Because you believe vintage = the scent of moth balls, believe there is such a thing as a Logan’s Run regarding fashion, or you’re so sure of a Rapture that, frankly, who cares if you blow all your cash on disposable things in the next two weeks.
