Le suivre vendredi – Mis Papelicos

It’s state fair time in the commonwealth, and while I wait for some deep-fried bottled water, watching the economy flip-flop harder than a Waffle House, here is the latest « Le suivre vendredi » …

Sacramento on the Street

This week I head over to Spain to hang with fellow bilingual blogger who is actually more bilingual than I.

Mesdames et messieurs, bienvenue s’il vous plaît mon prochaine « Le suivre vendredi » pour août 2011, Sacramento de Mis Papelicos !

I met Sacramento here in the comments section of my blog. She first turned up when I featured Bella Q of The Citizen Rosebud (who also featured Mme Sacramento) awhile back. That association was all I needed; was just only a matter of time.

Mme Sacramento resides in Spain, but has spent some time in Berlin and recently England where her husband hails. Speaking of English, she is an English professor as well as a nutrition/diet expert. Oh, and she is a bilingual blogger who writes in English and Spanish, something she has been doing since June 2010 after being a Spanish-only blogger from the blog’s birth in April.

In that time, her blog has been featured by everyone from the aforementioned Citizen Rosebud to By Anika to Grit & Glamour, Advanced Style, Vogue et al. As for the blog itself, whose name translates to My Papers in English–though in the context given, it would be My Diary or My Journal–you will find style posts with philosophical commentary attached, travelogues, inspirations, monthly featured bloggers and so on.

Why should you add Mis Papelicos to your reading list? You believe that style is eternal, you adore bilingual blogs, and, like Mme Sacramento, you are in love with life and all the little things it brings.

Why should you not add Mis Papelicos to your reading list? You’re a Minuteman (in which case, wrong country, pal), you still believe there is a “Logan’s Run” for style… you know what? I’m just going to eat my deep-fried Perrier on a stick, hater. Maybe some candied bacon, too. Covered in deep-fried gravy. Wash it down with some deep-fried Pepsi. Yeah.
