Around 1998 – 1999, I introduced two Mary Sue characters to the Daria fandom. I also introduced a fictional alien/posthuman genetic mutation called Alexandria’s Genesis to said fandom. Over a decade later, the back story for my Mary Sues had gone viral. Coming out as AG’s creator had brought a lot of traffic to the avenue, as well as a few headaches. Below are the original writings that were submitted to Outpost Daria in October of 1999, including the back story that launched a thousand facepalms, “Purple Eyes and Other Interesting Anomalies.”
